Students will be walking, skipping, and running on Friday, March 24th, during the school day. We want all Barracudas to join in and obtain pledges for their participation. We encourage you to ask family and friends for support. All funds raised go towards the Bagby Home & School Club to support programs including for Art Vistas, Maker Space, field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies, and more.

PRIZES will be awarded for your fundraising efforts!

★ Top 3 Classrooms – class cupcake or popsicle party

★ 100% participation – classes with 100% participation will also receive a class cupcake or popsicle party

★ Participation Raffle – any student who raises at least $5 will be entered into a prize raffle

How it works

1. Pledges should be a flat amount and can be collected at the time of solicitation. Your student can pledge to run a specific amount of laps and ask sponsors to base their flat donation on that number.

2. This year we will use the Pledgestar website to collect pledges. Donations can be collected through the website for credit card donations.

3. Please enter cash donations into the Pledgestar site for your own tracking purposes.

4. Pledges must be submitted by no later than Friday, March 31st to count towards prizes.

5. If you use a paper pledge sheet and/or collect cash/checks, return the pledge sheets and funds collected to your teacher. Make sure to include your name, teacher and grade.

6. If you choose to go door-to-door to obtain pledges, please only go out during daylight and accompanied by an adult. Safety first!

7. Pledges may be made by anyone. However, participants may not ask for pledges from any of the staff members of Bagby Elementary.

8. Please ask everyone who pledges if their company has a matching gift policy. They can input the company matching info when they donate online. If using a paper pledge sheet, please put their company name and sponsor contact info in the boxes indicated. Often, the sponsor can submit the matching request through their company online. If they need a receipt from Bagby, contact Kim or Julie at the emails below. Note: Our Tax ID 77-0448212 is for the Cambrian Education Foundation, NOT Bagby Elementary.

How to Register Online

For our Fun Run this year, we're using a web based fundraising system that makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. Paper pledge sheets are available through your teacher.

Using your computer's browser:

● Go to http://pledgestar.com/bagby

● Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”

● Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”

● Follow the instructions on-screen to register Runner(s) and add family and friends

Using your Android or Apple phone or tablet:

● Go to the Apple App Store on IOS or the Amazon App Store on Android and search for "PledgeStar" to download the Family App, or go to https://pledgestar.com/bagby/downloadapp.html

● On the home screen enter your event code: “bagby” to locate your event

● Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”

● Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”

● Follow the instructions on-screen to register Runner(s) and add family and friends

When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online.
